@ Report & appreciation

With your support, the wake for Gimme and the family funeral finished smoothly.

We received many flowers for Gimme both at the wake and funeral.

Also, several telegrams reminiscing about Gimme were sent from long distances.

On behalf of Gimme, we sincerely appreciate your condolences.

Realizing how much Gimme was cared and loved, the loss filled us with great regret and sorrow.

About the Great Dane rescue in Australia

The tragedy taught us a lot.

The fact is, we had an offer for Gimme from a Great Dane rescue organization in Australia.

The family that would have adopted Gimme owns a farm of tens of acres.

They told us that Gimme would have never been tied down or confined in a cage again.

The family really looked forward to having Gimme as their new family member.

Gimme was scheduled to move to the home of one of the staff members in Setagaya ward in Tokyo in the 4th week of June.

Gimme was going there to improve his physical condition in preparation for a complex procedure of leaving the country and the long trip to Australia.

Australia is one of the many countries with strict animal quarantine restrictions, but we were going to make every effort to get Gimmme a permit.

Gimme's journey to from Japan to Australia would have been a bridge connecting dog lovers in both countries.

It is no doubt that Gimmefs foster family was in a deep sadness as they heard this sudden news of her death.

However, the words we received from them were full of sympathy and encouragement.

It was Gimme that had tied the bonds between people who have never met before.

Funeral

The funeral was held at an animal cemetery in Setagaya ward, Tokyo on June 11th.

Several flowers and telegrams of condolences waited for Gimme at the funeral parlour.

The body of Gimme was covered with beautiful flowers.

Her favorite treats and two stuffed animals for companionship were also placed in the coffin.

Gimmefs shelf at the cemetery

Gimme was a big dog so that the urn was the same size as a person's.

The ashes of Gimme were neatly and gently put in the urn.

We decided to put Gimme's remains on the corner of a shelf at the animal cemetery.

When you want to meet Gimme, you can visit her there.

The shelf is not big, but youfll be able to offer water or small flowers there.

When you visit Gimme, please ask the staff at the cemetery and they will guide you to Gimmefs shelf.

Conclusion

Although we have been using the internet as our main communication tool,
this experience has made us realize again that a large number of people are sincerely supporting our activities.

Our project has not came to an end yet.

We promise that we will work as hard as we can to help the remaining dogs.

We welcome and appreciate your continuous support.
